Steve was born on October 02, 1957 at the time his family were given just days for him to live as his kidneys were not working very well.

In 1974 his kidneys failed and after spending time on dialysis in July 1975 Steve received a kidney transplant which his father donated a kidney after being found to be a match.  Steve was given a prognosis of 6 years but he continued to astound people by the length of time his transplanted kidney was performing.  When Steve passed away, the day before his father's 14th anniversary of his death his kidney was still going strong.

Unfortunately, on diagnosis of the Motor Neurone Disease in March 2019 we knew this was Steve's 3rd and final death sentence, which he termed it.  We just didn't realise it would end his life so soon.
